FIRE PREVENTION PROGRAM |
The Harrisville Fire Department is the forerunner of the Fire Prevention Program in the Town of Burrillville. Each year the department visits the Harrisville Preschool, Austin T. Levy School, W.L. Callahan School and the Steere Farm Elementary School to teach fire prevention and safety during Fire Prevention Week. The students and teachers are all very supportive of the program and eagerly participate. We take an interactive approach with the students and also teach them about the many jobs of firefighters and EMTs. The program is augmented by fire station tours throughout the school year as well as visits by Sparky the Fire Dog. |
BLOOD PRESURE SCREENING |
Free blood pressure screenings are available at the fire station during the week from 7:30 to 3:30. Please feel free to stop by the station any time during these hours. Cards to keep track of your blood pressure readings are available as well. |
