Firefighter Memorials
Remembering our past firefighters is very important to the members of the Hose Company. A memorial stone was dedicated on June 13, 1999 on the front lawn of the fire station. It stands four and one-half feet tall and is two and one-half feet wide. It is made of brown granite and has an inscription of the front and the Hose Company mission statement on the back. Within the station, there are several photographs and pictures of past members, as well as the Hose Company Honor Roll. Please feel free to stop by the station to view our many pieces of memorabilia.

Lawrence F. Gingell, Sr.
Larry is the only member in the long history of the Hose Company to lose his life in the line of duty. He perished on January 30, 1986 while preparing to perform an ice rescue. He is remembered today by a plaque hung in his honor at the fire station, engraved with his number 18, which has been permanently retired, and his name has been placed on the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial in Emmitsburg, Maryland.
